Which one do you prefer? Maybe you will tell me it depends your subjects you are taking. That's right. For me, I like fixed lens better when I take pictures for children. They are amazing in natural ambient light. I can get shallowest depth at 1.4 such as Nikkor 50/1.4D or 85/1.4D. For adults, I often choose Nikkor 85/1.4. The result would make you happy!
